Bike Check: Ondra Šenk's new Santa Cruz Vala

Our rider Ondra Šenk has just taken delivery of the new Santa Cruz Vala, which is innovative in many ways. Let's take a closer look at it!
Ondra is adding a full-fat Vala ebike to his fleet of Santa Cruz bikes from SNOWBOARD ZEZULA for this season, specifically the GX AXS model in size M. From this year's frame color options, he chose the darkly elegant Midnight Green and complemented it with brand new, uniquely shaped OneUp Wave pedals in a luxurious bronze color. Vala – Precisely constructed e-machine
The Santa Cruz Vala e-bike is a versatile trail machine on a mullet wheels with 160+150 mm travel and, without exaggeration, brimming with cutting-edge technology. It is powered by the latest Bosch Performance Line CX system with a 600 Wh battery and torque of up to 85 Nm. The rear suspension has an atypical but perfectly tuned design with a vertically mounted shock absorber. You can learn more about Vala technology in a separate article.
Specifically, Ondra's GX AXS variant is based on FOX suspension and is equipped with SRAM GX Eagle AXS T-Type electric shifting with a revolutionary derailleur-free design and new SRAM Maven brakes, which have immediately proven themselves thanks to their uncompromising performance. Also worth mentioning are the Schwalbe Magic Mary radial tires – again, a relatively new development.
Ondra Šenk has already confirmed that this combination of the latest cutting-edge technology and Santa Cruz's carbon mastery works perfectly, and we believe that further riding will only confirm this. The Vala suited him perfectly right from the start, providing plenty of power on climbs while remaining agile, playful, and great at smoothing out even the roughest trails.
