Samuel Jaroš

Samo Jaroš is a talented Slovak snowboarder. His main aim is to succeed in the next Winter Olympic Games. Since 2017, Jaroš has been riding under the brand Arbor Snowboards and has been dressed into comfortable clothes by Quiksilver.

When he was fifteen, he was classified as one of the most promising Czechoslovaks in snowboarding. Gradually, he has progressed to become one of the best riders in the world. Apart from his talent, Samo Jaroš’s great advantage is especially the opportunity to spend the whole year in the mountains so that he can improve his own skills. Moreover, a huge contribution in his success is his personal coach Matěj Matys, who follows Samo whenever he goes. They both ride the Arbor snowboards which helps them to achieve their collective goal. In summer 2017 they set forth together to New Zealand and in cooperation with Redbull shot a document called „Dole hlavou“ (Upside down).

Sam‘s all time favourite discipline is the big air. As the camber shape works the best for him, he has chosen the Westmark Camber snowboard by Arbor. The construction is suitable for slopestyle as well, so you can enjoy the whole day in the mountains for 100 %. The Union brand is a verified quality in the classical types of bindings. Therefore it‘s not difficult to choose the right model. Despite the fact that Samo usually rides on the Union Force bindings, he has chosen two models. As regards shoes, Samo swears by the Burton shoes. For Samo, their quality, comfort and flexibility are unsurmountable. The Burton Ion model belongs among the best pieces on the market.

Protection is the most important thing in the mountains. Samo couldn‘t applaud more to the spine protector Amplifi Cortex Polymer. It suits perfectly on the body, is made from breathable material and – in comparison to other models – is lightweight. Not even a step without a helmet, that‘s Samo‘s motto. Our whole team uses the american brand Bern because it's quality fits the riders really well. As Samo is not the exception, his helmet is covered in team colours.
