The time's come! The Herschel brand is finally available at our store and e-shop, too! This super successful brand is driven primarily by the desire to create design pieces and quality accessories matching any outfit. It is also worth mentioning that this motto just becomes them!

The already famous brand was founded in 2009 by brothers Jamie and Lyndon Cormack and named as Herschel Supply Co. They did not have to go far for naming their new brand. It was enough to inspire themselves by their hometown. Great grandfather Cormack moved to Herschel in Saskatchewan in 1906. Just for your information, today only thirty people live there. And it was the place where the three generations of the Cormacks were born and raised. The idea of naming their newly emerging brand was decided in one breath.

However, looking for Herschel's headquarters in this abandoned place would be futile. However, you will find them in Vancouver in Canada. Despite the fact that boys have moved the business a little bit further into a larger metropolis, their close relationship with the birthplace can be seen in the philosophy of the brand itself. Jamie and Lyndon decided not to make copies of old backpacks that did not reflect the needs of today's users. Instead, they chose the original way and started to sew backpacks in the old school style, but tailored to the needs of the 21st century humans. And they scored big time!

The brothers have done an unprecedented piece of work, and in the past ten years they have become a world-renowned producer of iconic backpacks that have absolutely no competition. This is also apparent by the fact that they sell their products all around the world in more than five thousand stores - Japan, Italy, Mexico and Australia. Only in the first year they sold a respectable eight thousand backpacks. And today, the number of models sold reaches millions.

What is behind this great success? Why hipsters from all around the world do not want to carry anything other than Herschel on their backs? Attractive design definitely plays the main role. The old-time logo, leather straps and retro design, Little America is a typical model from which you can almost smell the nostalgia after America. Herschel produces backpacks for everyday use and builds them on individual needs of a real person - in design, the functionality is also crucial.

Another pillar is an effectively chosen marketing strategy, in which Cormack brothers opted for social media, magazines and trade fairs instead of massive campaigns. They wanted to address their customers individually and tell their story. This is also related to their view of local product manufacturing. They are aware of global trends, on the other hand, they put emphasis on regional cultural differences and adapt their offer accordingly. And we agree that this strategy has really paid off. Less is sometimes more.

Herschel has become such a popular brand in a few years that their success has opened them the door to new collaborations. You've certainly heard about original and cute Hershel backpacks with Disney's Mickey Mouse or stylish pieces made in collaboration with Coca-Cola and Hypebeast.
