A snowboard doesn't have to be just a piece of sports equipment. It can be a canvas for expressing your own style.

Create an original Gravity snowboard design, share it with us and take part in the Gravity Design Contest.

Join in whether you want to draw directly on a snowboard or prefer creating your design digitally!

There Are Two Ways to Take Part.

1. Design Your Own Snowboard

Get a special white Gravity Design Contest snowboard with a set of POSCA acrylic markers and turn it into a one-of-a-kind piece.

Draw, write, combine colours and experiment. The final design is entirely up to you.

 

How Does It Work?

1. Buy a Gravity Design Contest snowboard with a set of POSCA markers.
2. Create your own original design directly on the snowboard.
3. Take a photo of your finished creation.
4. Share the photo on Instagram.
5. Add the hashtag #gravitydesigncontest.
6. That's it – you're entered into the contest.

2. Design a Snowboard Using Our Template

You don't need to own a snowboard or buy the contest set.

Anyone can take part in the Gravity Design Contest.

Simply download our snowboard template and create your own graphic design. The template is available in several formats, so you can work however you prefer – digitally in a graphics program, on a tablet or traditionally by hand.

Let your imagination run wild. We're looking for original ideas, interesting typography, illustrations, bold colour combinations and completely new artistic approaches.

How Does It Work?

1. Download the snowboard template.
2. Create your own original design.
3. Take a photo of your finished creation.
4. Share the photo on Instagram.
5. Add the hashtag #gravitydesigncontest.
6. That's it – you're entered into the contest.

 

Don't Have Instagram?

No problem. Send your photo to soutez@gravity-snowboards.cz and we'll publish it on the GRAVITY SNOWBOARDS Instagram profile.

This will enter your snowboard into the contest. The contest runs until 31 January 2027.

Create Your Own Design

It's entirely up to you which colour combinations, symbols, text or artistic techniques you choose.

However, snowboard production comes with certain technical limitations. If you want to create a design that could actually work on a real snowboard, we recommend following a few basic guidelines.

1. Watch the Binding Area

Avoid placing important details, text or key design elements directly around the inserts – the threaded mounting points for the bindings.

Once the bindings are installed, a large part of the graphic would no longer be visible.

2. Don't Forget the Centre of the Snowboard

On most snowboards, the most prominent design elements are placed in the centre section of the board, especially between the bindings.

But this isn't a strict rule. If your concept works better across the entire surface of the snowboard, feel free to use all of it.

3. Come Up With a Model Name

A snowboard design usually also includes:

model name + snowboard length

These details are generally placed together.

You can come up with a completely new name for your snowboard or use one of the model names from the current Gravity Snowboards collection.

4. Extend Your Design Across the Entire Template

The snowboard outline shown in the template is only a guide.

The actual shape of a snowboard varies depending on the model, length and intended use. That's why you should create your graphic design across the entire rectangular area of the template, not just inside the displayed snowboard outline.

5. Don't Forget the Base

The design doesn't end on the topsheet. When designing the snowboard base, a significant part of the graphic should feature original typographic work using the word "GRAVITY".

How you choose to work with it is entirely up to you.

What Doesn't Belong in the Contest

We want to give creativity as much freedom as possible, but there are certain themes that cannot be used in the contest.

Designs depicting or promoting the following cannot be entered into the Gravity Design Contest:

• explicit violence or sexual content,
• religious symbols,
• racism or hateful content,
• drugs, alcohol or tobacco products,
• commercial brands other than Gravity Snowboards.

How We'll Choose the Winners

There is no random draw.

The Gravity Design Contest is about ideas, style and what you can bring to a snowboard.

Every design that meets the contest requirements will be reviewed by the Gravity Snowboards jury. They'll be looking for a design with its own character, one that works on a snowboard and has the potential to stand out on the mountain.

The main judging criteria will be:

• originality and creativity
• overall visual impact
• quality of artistic execution
• how well the design works on a real snowboard
• use of the Gravity logo and brand identity

The number of likes, followers or shares doesn't matter.

This isn't a popularity contest.

It's about design.

You don't need to be a professional graphic designer, illustrator or artist. If you have a great idea and can give it your own style, you have the same chance as anyone else.

The jury will select a winner in each contest category.

No luck. No popularity contest. Just design.
