Arbor Landmark Splitboard

Landmark is a traditional camber splitboard designed for touring and backcountry adventures. This directional model features additional Grip Tech contact points that provide responsive edge grip on the ascent, while its versatile flex delivers a fun and dynamic ride on the way down. Equipped with Karakoram UltraClips, the Landmark is a reliable choice for everyday touring.

The splitboard is part of the Omnis Collection: Omnis means “for everyone” in Latin, and the collection is designed to deliver versatile performance for a combination of resort and backcountry riding.

Specifications

  • Flex: 8–9/10
  • Terrain: backcountry
  • Level: intermediate, expert
  • Directional Shape: a versatile shape with a slightly longer nose and shorter tail. It delivers excellent stability, control and improved float in deep snow.
  • Traditional Camber Profile: the board arches upward beneath the bindings, creating powerful pop, excellent edge hold and stability.
  • Parabolic Camber: a camber profile featuring five seamlessly blended radii that create smoother edge-to-edge transitions, better flow and increased control.
  • Grip Tech: additional contact points beneath the toe and heel areas of the boots improve edge hold even on icy surfaces and enhance board response.
  • 1 cm Taper: a shaping technique that narrows the snowboard towards the rear contact points. The wider nose and narrower tail allow the tail to sink more easily into deep snow, improving float and helping the board stay on track.
  • Real Wood Powerply: a wood and bamboo topsheet that delivers the performance, aesthetics and distinctive style Arbor is known for. The topsheet is sustainably produced for long-lasting quality and durability.
  • Bio-Plastic Topsheet: another material Arbor uses to reduce petroleum-based plastics in its manufacturing process. The topsheet is made from castor bean oil and offers excellent durability and water resistance.
  • Bio Resin: sourced from by-products and waste streams of other industrial processes. It is produced using greener chemical processes that reduce the material's carbon footprint by up to 40% compared with an equivalent petroleum-based resin.
  • Highland Split Core: a highly versatile Highland wood core reinforced through the centre and around the insert area for premium splitboard performance and durability.
  • Sintered Base: a high-molecular-weight sintered base that is highly durable, absorbs wax effectively and provides excellent speed.
  • Mixed Glassing: triaxial fibreglass layered over biaxial fibreglass delivers excellent versatility for powder, jumps, groomers and variable backcountry terrain.
  • Karakoram UltraClips: premium splitboard clips from Karakoram that are easy to use, strong and lightweight. They securely pull both halves of the splitboard together, eliminating unwanted movement and keeping the inside edges perfectly aligned. The clip levers stay securely in place during both ascents and descents.
  • Universal Splitboard Insert Packs
  • Recycled Steel Edges: highly durable recycled steel edges embody two of Arbor's core values – quality and sustainability.
  • Wend Natural Wax: all Arbor splitboards and snowboards come ready to ride thanks to a factory-applied layer of Wend Natural Wax.
  • Factory Tuned: tuned from tip to tail, the board is ready to ride straight out of the factory.
  • Made Using 100% Solar Energy

Choosing the right splitboard gear is one of the most important steps to getting the most out of splitboarding. That's why we've prepared a How To section in cooperation with #FreerideTV. Today we'll give you advice on how to choose a splitboard, what to wear and how to try to avoid unpleasant situations in the mountains. Let's do it!

Splitboarding is a sport that attracts more and more people. It's an escape from the crowded resorts and a longing for icy silence in the middle of the woods and mountain tops. However, much more than other sports, the right equipment is very important in splitboarding because it can save your life. In addition to the splitboard and bindings, essential equipment includes pucks, climbing skins, poles and avalanche safety equipment.

You can do without them when you first start splitboarding, but in time every enthusiast will appreciate them. And by these we mean crampons. These are used in steep slopes and traverses on frozen surfaces.

The last important piece of the whole puzzle is the the right freeride clothing and avalanche backpack that can comfortably hold your avalanche gear. And how to put it all together and not go crazy, Dominik will advise you in the above mentioned video.
