Snowboard Gravity Squad
This is a used snowboard from our Test the Best winter tests.
Squadra is a new addition to the popular Gravity snowboard collection. As the shape suggests, this is a board made for freeride and backcountry fun. The Squadra has everything you need for that kind of fun - a stable camber that you can really lean into, a directional tapered shape that tapers towards the tail, a wood core and triaxial lamination with carbon reinforcements. In short, a great combo for exploring the unknown corners of the mountains. Are you up for it?
Specifications
- Camber deflection - a classic deflection that enables a stable ride on the edge, accuracy and maximum possible flexibility when rebounding into a jump.
- Directional Tapered Shape - based on the classic directional shape, but in this case the heel is significantly narrower than the tip of the snowboard. This shape is great for backcountry and freeride riding.
- Wooden core - a light poplar core is supplemented with beech chips for greater stiffness and flexibility.
- Urethane Sidewalls - 360° polyurethane sidewall protects the edge and side of the core from damage, transfers energy from edge to edge better and dampens vibrations better than traditional ABS sidewalls.
- Triaxial lamination - the triaxial orientation of the glass fibers allows greater longitudinal and torsional strength and greater control over the board even at high speed. In this case, it is additionally reinforced with carbon.
- Sintered base - sintered base is harder and more scratch resistant and absorbs wax better. It needs to be given a little more care than an extruded slide and waxed regularly.
- 4x2 Micro Inserts - Inserts are placed in the 4x2 cm position.
- Prewaxed base - The snowboard is already waxed from the factory, just throw it under your feet and go. Yay!
