Tire Maxxis Assegai 27.5×2.50" Kevlar MaxxTerra/EXO/TR

Maxxis Assegai 27.5×2.50" MaxxTerra EXO TR Tire

The Maxxis Assegai tire is named after a spear used in battle by members of the Zulu tribe in South Africa. Greg Minnaar, a South African native, recognized that it was a fitting name for his signature tire that helps him fight on the mountain slopes.

The tire provides firm, predictable grip across the entire tread area regardless of lean angle. The Assegai can be used on both the front and rear wheels for a confident ride feel, or it can be used on the front wheel in combination with a rear tire for lower rolling resistance. While most tires excel on a specific surface, the Assegai allows you to ride fast virtually anywhere.

MaxxTerra

The new generation of MaxxTerra compound. Thanks to a completely new composition, it offers better durability and stronger traction in a variety of conditions without compromising rolling efficiency.

• 30% more resistance and longer life
• 15% more traction
• No change in rolling resistance

Tubeless Ready (TR)

TR tires are designed for tubeless use. They offer better traction, lower rolling resistance, and are more puncture-resistant thanks to the reinforcement in the sidewall. You get better grip and control at lower tire pressures. They must be used with tubeless-compatible rims and liquid sealant to maintain air pressure and seal small punctures.

EXO

The sidewalls are reinforced with a material that is extremely resistant to abrasion and cutting. This dense fabric also has no negative effect on the performance of the tire. Choose tires with the EXO label for rocky trails where there is a risk of sidewall cuts.
