Maxxis Assegai 27.5×2.50" MaxxTerra EXO+ TR Tire

The Maxxis Assegai tire is named after a spear used in battle by members of the Zulu tribe in South Africa. Greg Minnaar , a South African native, recognized that it was a fitting name for his signature tire that helps him fight on the mountain slopes.

The tire provides firm, predictable grip across the entire tread area regardless of lean angle. The Assegai can be used on both the front and rear wheels for a confident ride feel, or it can be used on the front wheel in combination with a rear tire for lower rolling resistance. While most tires excel on a specific surface, the Assegai allows you to ride fast virtually anywhere.

Tubeless Ready (TR)

TR tires are designed for tubeless use. They offer better traction, lower rolling resistance, and are more puncture-resistant thanks to the reinforcement in the sidewall. You get better grip and control at lower tire pressures. They must be used with tubeless-compatible rims and liquid sealant to maintain air pressure and seal small punctures.

EXO+

Updated protection from Maxxis, suitable for versatile use on trails and for light e-bikes. The base is a 60 TPI casing, which is complemented by the legendary EXO material in the sidewalls, resistant to punctures often caused by collisions with stones or roots. A butyl insert is placed in the bead area, which adds extra rim protection.
