It sounds like paradise, but above a certain size of swell it looks more like hell. The wave breaks under sea level, very shallow on a sharp coral reef with all the power of south Pacific Ocean concentrating on “Chopes” surf spot. Only committed and experienced surfers can give it a go. Teahupoo Charger Series Poncho is inspired by this contrast: relaxing shades of blue mixed with lighting prints referring to the speed and dangerousness of the wave.
