• Material
  • Pebax Rnew – Pebax® Rnew® materials are premium bio-based thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) made from the oil of the castor plant. They offer a unique combination of high performance properties: sustained flexibility at low temperature, high cold impact resistance, and outstanding energy return. These elastomers are typically 20% lighter than commonly used materials.
• Frame
  • Web Frame Carbon Design – Sunburst design in the heel area allows the use of variable web thickness to minimize weight while maintaining high performance and support.
• Ski/Walk Mechanism
• Speed Lock XT - Easy to unlock and lock, thanks to the lever with the integrated pull loop to make easy the use also with the gloves. The system is enhanced by the Friction Free technology, in fact, there isn’t any connecting rod between the shell and cuf
• Friction Free Technology – There is no connecting rod between the shell and the cuff, which allows frictionless movement in walking mode.
• Closure System
  
  • Magnesium Buckle – The buckle constructed in magnesium alloy is both strong and light. Its essential design offers an easy handling while wearing gloves.
  • Power Strap - The Velcro® Power Strap closure provides the best wrapping on the tibial area, without adding a lot of weight. Equipped with a strong and light aluminium ring, the Velcro® Power Strap offers perfect support against the tongue, avoiding the rebound from the top part of the boots
  • Finger Strap – Made with a specific design at the end of the Power Strap. It simplifies the opening and closing of the Power Strap even when wearing gloves
  • Wave Closure System - The Wave closure system, made exclusively for SCARPA, delivers two buckle closure strength security without the weight penalty
  • HRS System – The HRS strap keeps your heel planted where it should be to increase performance and comfort on the way up and down. Characteristic feature amongst SCARPA boots.
• Cuff
  • Thor Cuff – The newly developed cuff implements a simple and clean design with split areas of reinforcement and thickness to offer the necessary support on the descent while reducing weight. Designed to accommodate the Speed Lock XT ski/walk mechanism.
• Inner Boot
  • Pro Flex Touring - Thermo-mouldable inner boot made of Intuition Foam with anatomical tongue construction and elastic band on the instep. Specific thermoformable inner boot on the heel fix the ankle in place during descent or ascent. Double drawcord loops make it easy to put on. The insole is comfortable and ready to use right out of the box. For a more precise fit and maximum performance, we recommend heat molding the inner boot before use.
• Cayman Pro Outsole:
  • SCARPA-Vibram from the TOP85 compound, which provides excellent resistance and grip
