Gravity Squad Snowboard
Used snowboard from our Test the Best winter sessions.
Squadra is a new addition to the popular Gravity Snowboard collection. As the shape suggests, it is a board made for freeride and backcountry fun. The Squadra has everything you need for such fun - a stable camber that you can really lean on, a directional tapered shape that tapers towards the tail, a wood core and a triaxial lamination with carbon reinforcements. In short, great combo for exploring the unknown corners of the mountains. Are you in?
Features
- Camber - classic camber that allows stable riding on edges, precision and maximum flexibility when bouncing.
- Directional Tapered Shape - based on classic directional shape, but in this case the tail is significantly narrower than the tip of the snowboard. This shape is great for backcountry and freeride riding.
- Poplar+ Beech Woodcore - lightweight poplar core for greater stiffness and flexibility.
- Urethane Sidewalls - 360° polyurethane sidewall protects the edge and side of the core from damage, better transfers edge-to-edge energy and dampens vibrations better than traditional ABS sidewalls.
- Triaxial Lamination - the triaxial orientation of glass fibers allows for greater longitudinal and torsional strength and greater control over the board at high speed. In this case it is additionally reinforced with carbon.
- Sintered Base - sintered base is stiffer and more scratch resistant and also absorbs wax better. It requires a little bit more care than the extruded base and regular waxing.
- 4x2 Micro Inserts - the inserts are placed in the 4x2 cm position.
- Prewaxed Base - snowboard is factory waxed, just throw it under your feet and go. Yay!
