The O'Neill Competition Vest series defies convention and sets a new standard for performance vest technology. The lightest vests on the water this time around are even lighter, stronger and dry faster than ever before. And because young riders deserve comfort on the water too, O'Neill has come up with a version for little athletes.
Nytrolite foam technology - a low-density polyethylene that expands with nitrogen in an exclusive process and cannot be duplicated. Nytrolite foam is 3x lighter than PVC foam. Its closed cell structure absorbs 15-20% less water. It floats approximately 10% more than PVC, which means you can use less foam in each vest and it will still float the same. These vests are not approved by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) as life jackets.
